About:

Former State Senator John Brenden was appointed to the Montana Senate in 1993 when the sitting Senator died in office. He served one month.

He is the former chairman of the Montana Republican Party (1983-1987) and formerly Montana's representative on the Northwest Power Planning Council (1989-1992).
