Particpants enjoy locally brewed beer at Thursday's biodiesel mixer in Billings

Over 100 people gathered at a local grocery co-op in Billings last night to show their support for bringing more clean, renewable biodiesel into Montana.

Yellowstone Valley Citizens Council sponsored the event, where information on the economic and environmental benefits of biodiesel were mixed with a old-fashioned Montana good time.

Live music was provided by the jazz/funk band F4, and participants enjoyed locally brewed beer from Red Lodge Ales and snacks from the Good Earth Market.

The meeting highlighted efforts by the citizens council the Montana League of Rural Voters to get the city of Billings to incorporate biodiesel into their fleet vehicles and urged those present to contact legislators about the upcoming vote on SB 432, the Renewable Fuel and Energy Independence Act.
