The last day a person can declare his/her candidacy for public office for the November 2010 general election
The first day county clerks and recorders will accept non-permanent no-excuse absentee (vote by mail) applications from voters for the June 2010 primary election.
The first day county clerks and recorders will mail absentee (vote-by-mail) ballots to voters who have requested them for the 2010 June primary election.
The last day that voters may register to vote at the polls on election day. Clerks and recorders will start mailing ballots to those requesting to vote-by-mail on this day. Also starting on this day, any person eligible to vote may show up at the county courthouse, register and vote on the spot.
Candidates must file a campaign finance report with the Commissioner of Political Practices detailing their contributions and expenditures from the beginning of their campaign through May 23, 2010, on this day.
During this period of time, each time a candidate or committee receives $100 or more from a single source, they must file a contribution report with the Commissioner of Political Practices within 48-hours.
Polls are open across Montana from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm.
On June 28, candidates must file a campaign finance report showing contributions and expenditures from the period beginning on May 24 and ending on June 23, 2010 with the Commissioner of Political Practices.
