Vote-by-mail applications accepted for primary election (from Mar 25, 2010 08:00 AM to Mar 25, 2010 05:00 PM)

The first day county clerks and recorders will accept non-permanent no-excuse absentee (vote by mail) applications from voters for the June 2010 primary election.

Ballots mailed to military/overseas voters for primary election (from Apr 26, 2010 08:00 AM to Apr 26, 2010 05:00 PM)

The first day county clerks and recorders will mail absentee (vote-by-mail) ballots to voters who have requested them for the 2010 June primary election.

Last day to register to vote at the polls for the primary; First day to vote by mail or vote early at the courthouse (from May 10, 2010 08:00 AM to May 10, 2010 05:00 PM)

The last day that voters may register to vote at the polls on election day. Clerks and recorders will start mailing ballots to those requesting to vote-by-mail on this day. Also starting on this day, any person eligible to vote may show up at the county courthouse, register and vote on the spot.

First candidate campaign finace report due (from May 27, 2010 08:00 AM to May 27, 2010 05:00 PM)

Candidates must file a campaign finance report with the Commissioner of Political Practices detailing their contributions and expenditures from the beginning of their campaign through May 23, 2010, on this day.

48-hour contribution reporting window begins (from May 29, 2010 08:00 AM to May 29, 2010 05:00 PM)

During this period of time, each time a candidate or committee receives $100 or more from a single source, they must file a contribution report with the Commissioner of Political Practices within 48-hours.

Primary Election Day (from Jun 08, 2010 07:00 AM to Jun 08, 2010 08:00 PM)

Polls are open across Montana from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm.

2nd candidate campaign finance report due (from Jun 28, 2010 08:00 AM to Jun 28, 2010 05:00 PM)

On June 28, candidates must file a campaign finance report showing contributions and expenditures from the period beginning on May 24 and ending on June 23, 2010 with the Commissioner of Political Practices.
